Oklahoma set to execute Richard Glossip on May 18

The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board has refused to grant clemency in the matter of Richard Glossip, despite the clemency request having the support of the Oklahoma Attorney-General.

His execution is set for 18 May 2023, but his lawyers have filed an application for a stay of the execution with the US Supreme Court.

As suggested by Sister Helen Prejean, you can assist in the following ways:

  1. Write to Governor Kevin Stitt asking for him to grant Richard a 60-day reprieve.

  2. If you have friends in Oklahoma, please talk to them and encourage them to act.

  3. Share posts and tweets about Richard

  4. Postcard of Appreciation - Oklahoma’s Attorney-General is experiencing significant pressure and backlash because of his support of Richard. Sister Helen has suggested a postcard of appreciation to the Attorney-General would help show him that his actions are appreciated.
