Opinion: Why are exonerations so difficult?
Robert Roberson is due to be executed in Texas on 17 October 2024, for a crime that he maintains he did not commit. The lead detective on his case has said “I’m convinced we did the wrong thing,” and called what happened to Roberson “our failure.”
