STATEMENT ON SINGAPORE EXECUTIONS

In response to Singapore’s decision to schedule two executions (Roslan bin Bakar and Pausi bin Jefridin) for Wednesday 16th February, Ensemble centre la peine de mort (ECPM), Responsible Business Initiative for Justice, Eleos Justice, Capital Punishment Justice Project (CPJP) and Anti-Death Penalty Asia Network (ADPAN) have released a statement expressing dismay at both the decision, and Singapore’s continued failure to facilitate access to independent psychiatric and medical assessments for those on death row.
