Stay of execution granted for Malaysian citizen on death row
Mr Pannir Selvam was granted a stay of execution which allows him to make a post-appeal application in a capital case on two grounds: that he has a pending complaint to the Law Society of Singapore about the conduct of his previous lawyer; and that there is an ongoing challenge to the constitutionality of specific presumptions provisions, which is relevant to his conviction.
